    Pinup Workshop

Airbrushing in the 40's and 50's pinup style and beyond...

Newly updated for 2010, this hands-on workshop
covers the techniques and approaches to realistic
yet stylized pinup paintings from the 40's and 50's.

This class will focus on rendering a classic
pinup and you will learn painting techniques neccessary to creat a successful pinup painting.
We will discuss tips on lighting and
interpreting photographs for a stylized look.
We will still devote time to the Color Buffer Theory
and learning how to match colors accurately; although, unlike our Portrait Workshops, the main focus will not be photorealism. Our goal for this
class will be to create an idealized image starting from scratch.

This workshop is held in a non-intimidating
studio environment with both the novice and
veteran artist in mind. No previous airbrush
 experience is necessary.

All materials and reference will be supplied in our
new facility, which features color-corrected lighting
and a state-of-the-art air filtration system. There
will also be an optional Foundations class on the
Wednesday before each workshop for those
wanting to brush up on their airbrush control.

Class is limited to 16 and will be filled on a first-come,
first-served basis. To reserve your seat today, browse
to the class schedule and select the workshop
date that most fits your schedule.
