Jennifer Janesko's Pinup Workshop
Follow and observe Janesko’s process for creating
a finished painting. Learn how to choose from
photo images for inspiration and combine different
elements to create a theme or a mood. Photos will
be provided by Janesko. Create a final pencil line
drawing. Transfer your final line drawing to board
using a projector.
Janesko will take you step-by-step through your
painting. Learn how to apply and use frisket and
how to use the airbrush for hard and soft looks.
The painting will begin with the face, the body and
finally the hair. The artist will demonstrate her gold leaf technique and how she
applies a background and makes final touches to
give the painting a finished look.
Throughout the class the Janesko will discuss
material options, having your work professionally
photographed and the importance of presentation
and marketing. Students are encouraged to ask
questions on any art related topic throughout the
class.
The goal for this class is to create a finished pinup
painting using several different techniques. We will
also touch on marketing, presentation and getting
your work in the public eye.
